This is our loyal, charismatic superintendent - otherwise known as "The Captain". Gardy Pyle has been with the city for eighteen years and seen many changes at our golf course. He would love for everyone to come visit our diamond-in-the-rough facility. At the golf course we all think Gardy has put together one of the best driving ranges in the valley... if not the state. The Captain and his staff are working hard to give all players, from all walks of life, a great experience of golf at our outstanding eighteen hole golf course, which creates memories for a lifetime. Gardy takes great pride in his golf course, staff and especially in the golfer's who support and play golf here in Torrington.

Meet Ryan Yung. Ryan has worked at the golf course for a number of years and has played golf here even longer. He is attending EWC as a sophomore and once again will be leading the golf team to another successful year. Ryan has great work ethic and very strong customer service skills. We are very glad to have him as part of our team.

Our mechanic, John Stevens, has been with the golf course here in Torrington for 14 years. He has a plethora of knowledge that can be utilized in many different areas not just machinery. Gardy Pyle, our superintendent, has great faith in John and his ability.

Craig Sandlain is a jack of all trades here at our fine golf course. He takes great pride in his work and has the best work ethic around. Craig has been with the golf course since 2001, we are grateful to have Craig on our staff. His knowledge of the course the irrigation and many other areas are of great use. Craig was named "Employee of the Month" for the City of Torrington in September, 2009. Congratulations Craig!

At 73 years of age and our class clown Mr. Kenny Block keeps us on our toes with his good humor and wit. With great pride I am honored to say that Kenny can keep up with the best of them. He is reliable, hard working and dedicated to his superintendent. Kenny takes great pride in his work and his machinery.

Jeff Ellison is always on time and ready to tackle any task at hand. Jeff is a fun loving, hard working man who enjoys people. He has been instrumental here at our golf course and we enjoy having him around. He is also a loyal employee and dedicated to serving his superintendent as well his community. He loves this golf course and is planning on returning next golf season. Thanks Jeff for all you do for us at the golf course and in our community.

After owning his own business for 40 years Dick Anthony decided to spend a little more time outside...and boy are we glad he did. Dick is awesome!!! He has great work ethic and gets along with everyone. Don't let his age full you... he can keep up with anyone. At 72 years young he gets a lot accomplished in a day and still has time to spend with his better half. Mr. Anthony has a heart of gold and finds the good in people. I would say in today's world that is a nice trait to have. We love Mr. Anthony. He is a pleasure to be around.

I have found this high school senior to be honest, on time and very responsible. Patrick Guth follows direction very well and always completes every task given to him. He is an asset to us here at the golf course and will be greatly missed when he moves on to further his career. As a citizen of our community Patrick is well liked and always willing to lend a helping hand. I am very impressed with his demeanor, kind heart and politeness towards others.
